I'm not showing dependency information just yet, but plan to add that soon. At the moment I use them for powering the search -- relevance is determined by the number of dependency references to an artifact.
The rsync shouldn't be taking up much bandwidth since poms compress very well (the entire central repo is about 11mb compressed) but you're right about checking with the provider and I will.
