I'm working on Solaris 8. I suspect that it is an SSH1/SSH2
compatibility issue. As I understand it Solaris 8 does not support SSH1.
When I run "scp -t file" from the command line I get a compatibility
warning and error. I'm guessing that the Maven code doesn't understand
this message and falls into a wait loop.

The maven-artifact-plugin is using "scp -t file" to do its copying.
According to the scp2 man page
(http://www.employees.org/~satch/ssh/faq/manpages/scp2_man.html) the -t
and -f arguments are reserved for scp1 compatibility mode. If they are
used then scp2 gives them as arguments to scp1.

I think that the artifact plugin should use scp the same way that the
site plugin does with explicit to/from files. I will post someing at
Jira.

Thanks,
Christopher Helck

It is the first command, and might hang waiting for input under scpexe.
But this is scp:// ?

Actually, I believe I have experienced this before and needed to
reinstall my SSH keys.

What is the target machine? Linux?
