Why did the designers of Maven setup a different goal for installing a snapshot (install-snapshot)? Couldn't they have read the version to see if it was equal to "snapshot" and simply done the additional logic needed for snapshots?
Any workarounds out there that essentially do that? Or am I missing something more fundamental about how it works?
