Hi John, So the main task of the conversion tool to is to convert/replicate maven1 to maven2 repo format?
Is it feasible to develop maven2 proxy to work with maven 1 repo? This way I can keep downloading old artifacts using maven1 format without replicating new set of maven2 repo. -Dan On Apr 4, 2005 9:31 PM, John Casey <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > Dan, > > Maven2 won't be able to directly use maven1 repositories, as it is very > much dependent on the POM for each artifact being in the repository, and > in the new maven2 format (the POM format has changed a bit). > > HOWEVER... ;) > > We are building a conversion tool so we can maintain feeds from Apache, > Codehaus, OpenSymphony, etc. into the ibiblio repository for both maven1 > and maven2.
