I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the answer is no.
You will need to put the stuff both A and C depend on in a separate
project.

What maven defiantly does support is for example.
Project A
Project B depends on A
Project C depends on B
In this case you can set up maven to build A first then B and then C
using the project.xml. Is this what you mean ?
