This was more on the dev side, but I think its good that users mirrors that. Basically, we want to avoid fragmenting the community into 2 separate groups - and a lot of issues (such as general practices) affect both communities and we wouldn't want one or the other to miss it. Also, it's great to let the m1 users know what they are missing :D Happy to rediscuss this, but maybe some filtering (people seem to have adopted a convention of [m1 or [m2 ...) might help?
