Hi Sampreet - if you can't access the "http://localhost:8080/maven" then it is not related to Maven - you probabaly forgot to configure your tomcat.
If you are new to tomcat - I recommend you try the tomcat site or the tomcat mailing list for help. cheers, Arik.
