While I'm very far from expert on M2 yet, I intend to add a few doc patches to the few POM entries I can enhance. This is what worked well for me on M1 - when I found stuff so vague that I wasted hours to days on detective work, I patched the doc.
I think the wiki/codehouse docs is a great idea for things like getting a multi-module doc going. How would you see doing so for enhancing the POM? I wonder because, since it is an existing doc with annotations per element, I think doing it would be harder. I suppose we could do that though by stating which entry each change was for, and let each of us malleate it into goodness. :-) Then submit patches for each or multiple entries. What about starting something on the Wiki? I admit to not being as comfortable in Confluence as in MoinMoin, but if someone can get an outline started I might be able to help fill in some of the spaces.
