I am having a problem resolving dependencies and had exasted my resources.
I have to sibling projects. A and B. B depends on A.
The first problem is that mvn does not resolve a dependecy to
log4j-1.2.8.jar in project B. Initially I had this dependecy in the
parent POM as it is a common one for all the projects. Project A had it
added fine but project B not. After giving up this way I moved the
dependecy to both project poms and I still have the same problem. I have
searched all poms for log4j and i am sure it is not being excluded
anywhere. I first noticed about this when using the eclipse plugin for
generating the eclipse .project and .classpath files. Project B was
always missing this dependency. Then today I tried to compile and I get
errors because of this same reason.
The other problem I am having is related to commons-net-1.4.1. mvn is
complaining about the pom in ibiblio not being 4.0.0 compliant. Although
the jar it self is being resolved its dependecy on ORO is not.
Any ideas or hints??
