Hi,

the webstart plugin (in mojo sandbox), has been updated in the past
days. The following main changes have been made:

- transitive dependencies are now handled
(a filtering - include/exclude - mecanism has been added to give the
user some control)
- the JNLP file generation is much simpler. Instead of specifying the
Jnlp contents inside the pom, the user specifies a velocity template
where some values (mostly the dependencies section) are going to be
parsed and replaced.
- support building with sdk 1.4, 5.0 and 6.0

I am updating the confluence page that serves as documentation [1]
right now. I will make some changes in the next days, hopefully making
the plugin built automatically from the sandbox and move the
documentation inside the plugin.

This plugin is usable today, but lacks broad usage. If you have
interest in webstart applications, I would appreciate feedback. I
don't plan to release the plugin as 1.0 until it has been used in
various environments. I want its configuration to be widely tested as
to minimize potential breakage of the configuration file format.

If there are things you would like to see in this plugin, send a mail
to this list. If you need a fast answer, feel free to copy me.

Cheers,

Jerome
