My opinion is that adding a phase just before package could be good.
Simple use cases :
- using xdoclet plugin to generate j2ee files
- attach a simple xsl transformation to generate an about page in a
webapp (which contains some information : build time, scm tag, version
etc..)
- ...
For all of this jobs, which are only needed for the real packaging
(building the war), there is no phase which I can attach without doing
all of this when I just want to try a junit test.
Someone this can be very long with a lot classes in the project to just
made a simple test which don't need all j2ee files or others.
Someone else interested ? Do I need to create a separate issue ? Do I
have an undocumented workaround ?
