Filtering webapp resources

Hi everybody,
 
I want to filter webapp resources (the files under WEB-INF directory).
I find there is already an issue/update to be able to do this kind of things.
I just want to know when it is planned for and/or if there is a "trick" to 
solve this problem while waiting for war plugin update.
