Carlos addressed this on the dev@ list. It was simply a mistake in the plexus-compiler 1.5.2 pom. He will be fixing the pom and updating it on ibiblio.
Unfortunately, poms do not update themselves at this time, so you will need to delete this pom from your local repositories to force it to be redownloaded.
