Assigning output of a command to a variable

   I also tried doing this
  <goal name="mine" description="test">
    <j:set var="triple" value="`src/config.guess`"/>
    <echo>${triple}</echo>
  </goal> 
it does not execute src/config.guess but instead it sets triple to 
`src/config.guess`
