I wanted to release a component. The pom.xml is under source control in clearcase. The plugin is running, creates the release.properties, asks me about the tag and then it wants to update the version in the pom.xml If I have a chekout at the pom.xml during the release I've got the Exception, that there are Checkouts. So I read in several forums, that the plugin needs a clean env with no checkouts. But then I do not understand how the plugin is able to checkin source ? If I fist checkin the pom.xml and start then the release:prepare, I' ve got following Exception:
...caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: O:\Test\Dev_Zentral\components\server\pac_server_error_correction\pom.xml (Zugriff verwe gert) ... This Exception I expected, because the pom.xml is not checked out. Permission denied. So my basically Question to you is: How works this release plugin or should I aks how works the scm plugin with clearcase ?? Are you the right contact person ? I ' ve got some comprehension problems with Maven 2 and Clearcase. I would be very thankful, if you answer me.
