I am still not sure why JBoss IDE artifact caused NPE.

The best thing to do is to fill a new JIRA issue with your stacktrace in
MECLIPSE ( http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MECLIPSE ) and we will try to
track this problem with this particular plugin.
