Indeed, I do not use 2.1, because there is a serious bug in this
version, which will not be fixed not before 2.2; see

BTW, it seems that with 2.1 it is not necessary anymore to explicitly
include the produced artifact into the lib folder. The assembly plugin
does this automatically. Maybe it creates a "hidden" dependency on the
generated artifact?
