I'm looking to package multiple WAR files in an EAR, using the EAR
plugin. I'd like to have the dependent jars in the EAR, not the WARS, so
that they can be shared.

That can be accomplished by using warSourceExcludes to exclude the jars
from the wars, and copying the dependencies from the WAR poms to the EAR
pom. But by doing that, one loses one of the primary advantages of
Maven, the ability to manage transitive dependencies automatically.
Ideally, there would be something in the EAR plugin that caused
transitive dependencies from included WAR artifacts to be packaged in
the ear, but I don't see anything like that in the documentation.

Is there any way to do this?

Thanks.
