Thanks for the reply. So maven is not able to cache these on it's own? Why is this? In more detailed words: why can maven cache jars and stuff of some things needed in a build but not some others, like snapshot versions and more (i saw problems with an activecluster-1.1-SNAPSHOT version, but also with some qdox version, that doesn't seem to have a SNAPSHOT in it's name.
