That bug seems to indicate the "Australian" mirror (which is PlanetMirror in Javier's list) is probably the source of the trouble. So I'd suggest people stop using that mirror for now... at least until 2.0.5 or 2.1 is out and this bug with RELEASE and LATEST is gone.
