we encountered a somewhat odd behavior of the site-plugin: if the POM is missing a distributionManagement section and site:stage is invoked, then the name of the modules is used instead of the artifactId. Using the project name is generally a very bad idea, since it can contain any charaters and should therefore not be used as a name of the directory. Is there anybody out there using this and would be negatively affected if this behavior would be changed/fixed?
