"mvn -Papache checkstyle:checkstyle", maven does not use the latest checkstyle.
My bad, I hadn't uploaded a new SNAPSHOT after I fixed that issue. Now
that is done. Please try again.

For now you need to run the latest SNAPSHOT version of each plugin. See
