Hi Dave, Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, we seem to be hitting some other problem. The mere presence of the <PATH> seems to break the surefire plugin. Not only does it overwrite the system PATH but it ignores whatever value we set.

It seems that including <ENVIRONMENT><PATH> nodes doesn't work correctly. <plugin> <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId> <artifactId>maven-surefire-plugin</artifactId> <configuration> <environmentVariables> <PATH>${env.Path}</PATH> <HOME>${env.HOME}</HOME> </environmentVariables> </configuration> </plugin> Why not just exclude it then? I currently have to add a value to the windows path variable to execute certain tests. I would like to avoid this by modifying the PATH variable at runtime e.g. <PATH>${env.Path};new_path_var</PATH> thus reducing the amount of environment setup. There seems to be a related JIRA: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/SUREFIRE-308 Thanks, Nathan --- This e-mail may contain confidential and/or privileged information.
