Hello,
I am new to Maven and trying to setup some projects. What I want to do is create a parent POM that has all the different project dependencies included. Then for each project, I will have a project POM that will contain the individual dependencies needed to build the project.

However, I will reference the parent POM to get the version for each dependency. The reason I want to do this is if a version changes, I only have to update it in one place versus having to update each project POM.

Where I am stuck is trying to figure out how to reference the dependency back in the parent POM. I am not clear on the syntax on how to do this.

Can anyone point me to specific docs or examples that help explain this. I have looked at the Maven docs but it is still not clear to me.

Regards,
Mark
