I haven't found it, so I have to ask. Is there a document describing best practice for testing a plugin?
I keep running into what appear to be abberations in various Maven plugins, raising JIRAs for them and even submitting patches, but I haven't found any common pattern for constructing test cases to validate the plugins behaviour.
