Yes, sometimes, but not always, when I compile outside of eclipse, my computer grinds to a halt and the compile takes forever, (30 minutes instead of 5). Then, sometimes Eclipse crashes.
Eclipse is not doing a refresh during this period, and 'auto refresh' is off. I didn't report this to the Eclipse project because it appears to be maven related, possibly with one of the 3 ways of integrating Eclipse with Maven. I know this doesn't happen when I use our deprecated ant build system.
