Hi, I am using maven in a medium projet with many modules...
mvn install at the root is quite long mvn deploy too...and mvn release:prepare/perform takes 25 minutes.. It's true that I am using many plugins (javadoc, uml doclet (!), pmd (!!), tests, checkstyle....) 25 minutes to do all that stuff, for me it is ok! By hand, It will be much longer! But I want to know what take times? In fact, when I add a new cool plugin (checkstyle, UML doclet...) I want to know the price that I have to pay : how much time does it takes? Or be able to answer to "mvn package is slow because of plugin X and Y : I'd rather trigger them in install or deploy or make a profile..." Well, for all that reasons, I'am looking for a way to get stats about maven internal build. A kind of plugin able to list, at the end of the goal, the time spent in each plugins...and the hot spots... sth like mvn clean install ....
