Hello.

Debian Server + LAMP + Kannel + gsm-modem/phone :
with this you can send sms and MMS notifications as SMS
Build this first.

Then if this server can be seen in public internet ,
install two Mbuni version (MMSC and VASP) to it. Then you must change
client phones
MMS-settings to connect Mbuni, not telcos own MMSC.
Of course you need to make some codeing work also.

I am building nearly this kind of system (with GLP-lisence).

Time needed is about 2 months.

Hello,
I am working on a mobile phone application that requires the following:

1. to be able to send an sms to an individual whose details are
stored in an online database.

2. To be able to send an sms that prompts for a reply sms, and then
based on that reply send another sms and in some circumstances
(dependent on what info we have about the particular subscribers
mobile phone) a video or mms.

3. to be able to send an sms at scheduled dates.

4. to be able to send an mms or video at scheduled dates.

5. All of this to be enabled using a dedicated PC connected to the
net and a gsm/gprs modem.

6. Want to avoid using a telcos smsc/mmsc.

I would like to know whether mbuni can do implement these functions
and what would I need to install and activate. Any guidance would be
greatly appreciated.

Also could someone give me an estimate of how long something like
this would take to setup given the installer has extensive experience
with computers and writing software. I am trying to weigh up the
amount of time required against the cost of commercial gateways,
which I preffer not to use.

Thank You
Greg Giannis
