The starting point is the config files. Lets have a look at those.

does this imply that mmsrelay merely sends messages, without checking if mmsbox or proxy is running? what if mmsbox is down unable to receive MM?
how to chk if VASP received MM correctly and how to get it?

i have downloaded mbuni and installed it. i'm trying to run MMSC and VASP on the same machine; is that allowed?
further, i use mmssend. i can see the following on my console (MMSC):
