I tried to use optimize-notification-size = true, but still I don't receive the mms (on nokia6230i).

The notification url after the change is as follows:

/cgi-bin/sendsms?username=t&password=f&text=%02%06%03%BE%AF%84%8C%82%98<Mbuni host>%40qf7114.2.x238.85%00%8D%90%8A%80%8E%02x%97%88%05%81%03%05~%40%83http%3A%2F%2F<Mbuni host>%2Fqf7114.2.x238.85%402%2Fwx4%00&to=%2B<phone number>&udh=%06%05%04%0B%84%23%F0

When I use the following url and send it through telnet to the kannel, the message is received by the phone:

/cgi-bin/sendsms?username=t&password=f&text=%16%06%22%61%70%70%6C%69%63%61%74%69%6F%6E%2F%76%6E%64%2E%77%61%70%2E%6D%6D%73%2D%6D%65%73%73%61%67%65%00%AF%84%8C%82%98%34%35%30%45%34%41%31%45%00%8D%90%89%1F(%80%7F%22Nadav+Fried%22+%3Cnfried%40axismobile.com%3E%00%96html+with+images+%2B+jpg%00%8A%80%8E%02x%97%88%05%81%03%05~%3F%83http%3A%2F%2F<Mbuni host>%2Fqf7114.2.x238.85%402%2Fwx4%00&to=%2B<phone number>&udh=%06%05%04%0B%84%23%F0

As you can see I added 2 headers, one is for content-type(application/vnd.wap.mms-message) and another one that I don't know it's meaning. I also removed one of the headers sent by Mbuni(the one starting with %02%06%03%BE)

Only when applying those 3 changes to the url, the message is received (it must be all of them).

Thanks,

Nadav

Thanks.

The notification sms should be fine. You could try setting

 optimize-notification-size = true

in the main mbuni conf and see if that helps. Doing that strips out a whole lot of extra notification fields.

Here it is. I have concatenate=true and max-messages=20.:

GET /cgi-bin/sendsms?username=t&password=f&text=%01%06%03%BE%AF%84%8C%82%98<Mbuni host>%40qf4712.1.x84.23%00%8D%90%89%1F(%80%7F%22Nadav+Fried%22+%3Cnfried%40axismobile.com%3E%00%96html+with+images+%2B+jpg%00%8A%80%8E%02x%97%88%05%81%03%05~%40%83http%3A%2F%2F<Mbuni host>%2Fqf4712.1.x84.23%402%2Fwx21%00&to=%2B<phone number>&udh=%06%05%04%0B%84%23%F0 HTTP/1.1

Can you post the full sms as sent by mbuni. also ensure that in kannel you have concatenate=true set for the sendsms-user group.

We compared the message sent to kannel by Mbuni with another mmsc server (NowSMS) that successfully sends messages to nokia6230i.

Some message parts (by that I mean the binary message parts separated by %00 in the text field sent to kannel) sent by NowSMS were not sent by Mbuni and vice-versa:

Message parts sent by NowSMS only(url encoded):

%16%06%22%61%70%70%6C%69%63%61%74%69%6F%6E%2F%76%6E%64%2E%77%61%70%2E%6D%6D%73%2D%6D%65%73%73%61%67%65%00

%AF%84%8C%82%98%34%35%30%45%34%41%31%45%00

Message parts sent by Mbuni only:

%01%06%03%BE%AF%84%8C%82%98<Mbuni hostname>%405-wg-qf8521.1.x570.83%00

When I took the original message sent by Mbuni, added the two parts sent only by NowSMS and removed the part sent only by Mbuni, the phone received the message correctly.

Thanks,

Nadav

Hi

I can send successfully mmses to nokia3100 however when i try to send to nokia6230i i dont receive any mms, from the logs of the kannel i see that the sms to the nokia6230i is sent however the phone gprs square doesnt show up and i dont see any traffic from the mobile phone to mbuni, which means its not requesting the mms data.

Also i had another problem with nokia7610 but i'll leave it for now (with the nokia7610 i had to use an internet APN in order to receive the mms with regular gprs it didnt work).

Anyone knows how can i solve this?

Thanks

Tomer
