Hi,

I have problems with sending out the M-Notification.ind message.
Unfortunately I have quite long alias and if I choose to optimize the
sms size it sends only a half sms , it ends with ' ... application/'
in binary (the SonyEricssons could download the mms in this way also).
After I figured this out I changed optimize-notification-size=false.
But In this way no phone can receive anything(Kannel send the smss for
sure). It seems for me that there is some problem with the sms UDH. I
don't really understand it but I think it doesn't tell the phone that
2 smss are coming and that is why they don't receive anything.

This was the udh of the 2 sms version 'udh=%06%05%04%0B%84%23%F0' and
as I know it should be longer and the end should be '0201' which signs
that it's the first sms from 2.

The other thing which I can understand why the 'content-type' is
always 'application/octet-stream'. Non of the phones which I used for
testing (nokia 6233, sony Ericsson W800i)could understand this and
they don't have it even in their profile.

The only way I could download the mmss was that used
'optimize-notification-size=true' and I caught the notification sms
with ethereal I deleted the '%84application%2Foctet-stream' part and
then I connected to kannel with telnet and sent the http request
manually. In this way everything worked fine.

Please clarify me why it uses 'application/octet-stream' always and
how can I turn it off or force it to use something else. And please
tell me how it should work with the UDH.

Thank you for the help in advance!

Best wishes,

Gergely Révay
