This is the SMIL I'm using is
<smil>
<head>
<layout>
<region id="Text" width="160" height="120" fit="meet" />
</layout>
</head>
<body>
<par dur='5s'>
<text src='http://SERVER_HOST/edara.txt' region='Text'
system-language="ar"/>
</par>
</body>
</smil>
The text file edara.txt contains Arabic text.
Attached is a sample Arabic file.
Do I have to define any parameters in the SMIL for sending Arabic text?
Please find the log attached.

Mbuni does not make any changes to the character sets, at least on
the Mmsbox side of things. What is the SMIL you are sending? Perhaps
also a fuller log?

The device supports Arabic. Should I set charset parameter in URL to
UTF-8?
Also what are the charset parameter values supported by MBUNI?
Please if you have any examples please share with us.

It should work within the SMIL out of box. What matters is that the
device supports this. Check that the device supports UCS2 or such
character set.

Hello,
Anybody was able to send Arabic text in mbuni with "text" URL
parameter. I failed to do so.
Any advice.
Also how to include an Arabic text file in a SMIL file. It always
shown me on the mobile some corrupted characters when sent.

Remon
