Hi, try downloading autoconf version >= 2.61 and install it. i think it's the best way. You can find it here http://www.icewalkers.com/Linux/Software/514480/autoconf.html.
I had the same problem and i downloaded and installed version 2.64. This should sort you out. ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/autoconf/autoconf-2.66.tar.gz ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/autoconf/autoconf-2.64.tar.gz one of them can help you.
