I tried to build the ftpserver, following precisely
the instructions to be found at
http://mina.apache.org/building-ftpserver.html.
The server throws no errors during compilation with
"mvn install", though several errors occur in the
testing that occurs right after installation.
When I try to run the ftpd.sh script, it fails with a
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError. Upon inspection I
realised that the installation procedure does not put
any .class or .jar files where the script expects them
to be (ie ftpserver/distribution/common/lib and
ftpserver/distribution/common/classes).
I tried to install with "mvn -Dmaven.test.skip=true
install" to skip the tests, but without any success.
The installation again ran without errors, but the
class and jar files were still missing.
I am using Fedora Core 6 with JDK 6.
Any help on getting the server up and running would be
appreciated. Alternatively, is there any place where I
could download a binary release?
Thank you.
