I developed a Trap receiver based on MINA, you can find it on the link shared by Emm.
Since your are using SNMP4J, it leaves a little place for MINA, unless you or SNMP4J folks intend to port transport layer to MINA. However, if you building EMS/NMS layer, there could be couple of useful things that you could do to create an application that scales. You have a very good case for using Apache FtpServer (MINA sub project), to collect mediation/performance data ftped by Devices. The usages are unlimited, you just have to discover them.
