Hmmmm, I think this problem has been fixed in trunk, AFAIR. Those
'shadow' connection ere used to setup the socket when we configure it,
as we need to have a real socket to check the socket capacity. (from the
top of my head)
There is a thread on the mailing list mentionning this (it was about
socket opened in a web browser when using MINA).
