Nope, we excluded it for the same reason than we excluded the RXTX.jar lib.
The problem is that we don't want to be responsible for someone
including LGPL code into his application by mistake. Ie, if you *have*
to build it, then you are aware that there is LGPL code inside, and you
can't blame The ASF for that.
However, i'm not sure that the code itself using a LGPL jar should be
excluded. We will discuss this again on the dev ML.
