I don't think this should be a problem with MINA. If this device is using
3G, for example, it is quite common that they lose connecitivy for short
lapses of time (at least  it happens a lot with my mobile phone in my area
).

A simple solution: capture exceptions in the client side and resend
messages that didn't reach their destination.
