Hi,

so if the time it takes to transfer a message from the gate to the server,
and back, just takes 220ms, but takes more than 7 seconds to get back to the
client, then I do think that you should focus on the gate to see what's
going on.
Yes, it is reasonable.
There is no reason why the global time you are measuring on the client side
should be any different from around 500 ms (ie, the time it takes to process
a request from the gate to the server and back, plus the time it takes to
process the request from the client to the gate, and back.)
That what we expected

What exactly are you doing on the gate ? Can I suggest you mock the server,
and check that the transfer between the client and the gate takes less than
7 seconds ? (this should be quite easy, if you consider that the server
response is hard coded on the gate's handler and sent back to the client.
I think too we should try logging filter and test client-gate without
server involvement. However, we will be able to share the results in a
week or so since part of our team will be out of the office since
Monday.
Take all the needed time. This is august, all in all :) (plus after having watched all those olympic events for three weeks results in a need for a week break to get back in good physical shape ;)
