Thanx for the help, it turned out I was on the right track after all, but somehow I managed to create two relations between the nodes, one in each direction, which explained the results I was getting *blush*

I have been playing around with dir=directional aswell. Whatever I try I always get parent nodes aswell as child nodes. Can anyone tell me how to do this using the taglibs? (I am using MMBase 1.7)

Normally there is an attribute 'searchdir' or 'searchdirs', which could be 'destination' or 'source' or 'both' (and default to 'both'), (or a list of those constants if there are more 'steps' in the path).

The dname field is of very limited use, and 'sname' is commonly referred to
as 'role'.

I thing it is clearest to ignore 'dname' altogether and think of all
relations as having a certain 'role' and a 'source' and a 'destination'
side.
