I will try and get started on some patches for #2. I will add them to the JIRA bug I opened on this (http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MYFACES-70) and we can discuss. In the meantime I'd be interested in feedback from others about this approach. I will also try and think about some of the issues/concerns that Craig has raised. sean
