as to the HTML-editor: this is not finished; Sylvain is still working on it, and from time to time there is some progress when he has time to do OS ;)
if you want to join in and submit some patches, you are surely happily welcome! The mailing list archive is not working, you are right - I have sent mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] to hopefully get someone working on that problem. As for the old homepage: http://www.myfaces.org/ was the initial homepage of MyFaces (before moving to the ASF) refer to there for some (but not much) documentation about MyFaces.
