"Converting form params" is a bit different from back button issues.
It's actually about being able to use GET method to submit a form rather
than only POST. Anyway, I'm also interested in having support for GET.
Anybody done any work for this already? I'll eventually need this for a
new project I'm working on, so I might try my hand at implementing this.
Since JSF tends to send a lot of form data, I know there will be some
problems with GET because browsers and servers usually support only
relatively short URLs while there's no theoretical limit for length of a
URL. Probably just logging warnings if urls are at or go over most
common limits (e.g. IE 2083 characters) should be enough at least for
the beginning. Anybody know if Tomcat has some hard limit on the length
of a URL?
