You might also look at Equinox - which is a simpler version of AppFuse.

AppFuse is more robust in the area of security and code-generation with 
XDoclet.

A good starting point mighe be appfuse, I was rather unaware of
this framework until recently.
They have already integrated hibernate jsf and spring, however I have 
not had a look at it.
