This may be a more generic JSF question than myfaces specific but maybe someone has an answer.... I have a h:selectOneMenu component om my jsp page, that is bound to an id in a managed bean. I had some problems, so I added a log in both set and getid method to see if these were called, and now I see that getID is called three times whenever the page is rendered.. Is this by design and if so, why?
