Hi Alexander, First of all, thanks for your interest too; the style and styleClass attributes maybe are not meant realy to change the look of the tabbed pane (tabs), these seem to be completetly ignored anyway, but the other style related attributes don't help realy neither.
Can you give me a link to the "!important" things you've mentioned on this list? I do test also in Mozilla, Netscape and Opera; by the way in Opera the tabs are looking pretty ugly, i can't make them loose the button look and feel...i would realy love to have those tabs as links not buttons. For now i made my changes directly in the MyFaces source code, but it would be perfect to be able to do any changes only by using CSS rules. Do you feel like having much freedom in customizing the tabbed pane and tabs? i don't feel like that, but i'll try more and let you know.
