If it
is with the getHiddenFieldNames(), enclose your tree / table or whatever that
uses a commandLink in a form.
You
would get past that.
-----Original Message-----Balaji, i'm farther now. I'm embarassed to say that I was bitten by the newbie problem where you type the case of the managed-bean-name incorrectly. I can see my tree backing bean getting constructed now but I am now getting a NullPointerException in the CommandLinkRenderer (i'm using the tree2.jsp example almost verbatim). I will let you know if I get it all working...anyway...even though you've probably stared at your managed-bean element in your faces-config.xml file a zillion times, check it again.
