  Thanks for the suggestion. Actually, I had been doing this many times downloading the samples and running the war files on Websphere Portal 5.0 Test Environment and they never worked. When I run the application, it goes to page http://localhost:9081/simple/home.jsf where I see the scary :) page The Page cannot be displayed. But now after seeing your message, I realized may be there is something wrong I am doing as it works for most of you. I ran on the default server I get with IBM Rational, Webshpere Application Server 6.0 and guess what, it works. We are supposed to use Webshpere Portal Server for our project, and now it's my turn to work on, to make my calendar project work on Websphere Portal Server.

If somebody had worked on Portal Test Environment Server, please let me know if it works successfully

If you download the source code, or check out from svn and then build
myfaces you will have several completely working war files called
simple.war and sandbox.war that show how things work.
