which left me w/ the same old version. I deleted the jar, ran 'download-dependencies' again, and now I get the correct one.


The ant task just compares the timestamp for the file on the webserver against the timestamp for the local jar you already have. If, for some reason, the timestamp on your local file is more recent then the jar won't be downloaded.

There are all sorts of things that can update the timestamp of a file (copying it for one).

This is another reason to move to Maven; maven handles this situation much more elegantly.
