I'm
wondering if there is an existing component to handle Object/Embed HTML tags for
using native browser plugins/viewers? Something where if you supply a
source and the mimetype, it will attempt to use a browser native plugin to view
the source.
My
usecase is "image/tiff" mimetype, while others like PDF, word, excel, and others
may also have value.
Any
recommendations?

p.s. I
have a grossly underachieved working objectembed JSF component, but it would
need a serious re-working to be considered for MyFaces-Tomhawk if this problem
has not already been solved.
